Our Little Teenager

We had our first glimpse into what life will be like with a teenager, and we are thankful we have several years before we get there. Wyatt's cousins, Thomas and Grant, came into town for New Year's Eve. They, along with my brothers, father and cousin, headed to the Georgia Dome for the Chick-Fil-A bowl. The University of Tennessee was selected to be in the bowl this year, and unfortunately, I have some UT fans in my family.

Wyatt came to me asking if he could go. My brother actually wanted to take him for the entire night, but asked if not for the whole night, could he go down for fan-fest. I told Wyatt I was not sure, so he called his Daddy. He sounded like such a big boy. Daddy was at work, and I hear Wyatt say, "Please daddy, can I go to the kickball (a.k.a football) game." "Please." "Please." As soon as he hangs up, my anxious nephews say, "What did he say Wyatt? Can you go with us??" I just looked at him and thought...is he really just three?

Once Nathan got home, we caved in and the next thing I knew, he was headed to the Georgia Dome for UT's Fanfest dressed in UT clothes. Yes, you read that correctly. I said UT and yes, he had on orange.

I have this one pic, but will post more later. I didn't really want orange pics in my camera so I will have to get some from my sister-in-law. :)

Later that day, Nathan and I really felt like parents of a teenager. We were driving around the Georgia Dome looking for a "corner" to pick up our little one.
