Sea World 2009

Wyatt, Lauren and I headed a little early to SSI for Thanksgiving. Nathan joined us just a few days later. My brother had the great idea of us going to Sea World together for the weekend. It was an absolute blast. Wyatt loved everything about it except for when Shamu decided to splash us. He loves being with his cousins, so the weekend was full of laughter and fun.

Wyatt loved climbing the nets, and was not afraid at all. The adventure made me realize exactly how out of shape I was. I was just thankful I was not the mom I saw doing flips down the net. I couldn't help but laugh, but I did feel sorry for her. Thankfully she was okay!!

You can't go on a trip with all boys, and not end the night with a pillow fight!! Wyatt was in heaven.

Time Out

When Lauren was 12 months old we had to send her to time out. Not because we thought she was ready, but because she hit Wyatt which if the tables had been turned would have resulted in a time out for Wyatt. When she did it, he looked at us like....what's up. What are you going to do about this? So we sent her to time out, and she completely complied. She sat, made a frowny face and proceeded to go kiss Wyatt after she was told she could get out of time out. That was her way of saying sorry.



Nathan and I were shocked (not sure why since humans are extremely smart and dogs will sit and stay). From that point forward, when Lauren misbehaved, she got a time out. When Wyatt gets a time out, Lauren also gets one. Not because we put her there, but because she wants to join him and puts herself there. She will often throw in a fake cry too. I've been dying to get a video, but it's impossible to have one in the middle of needing to discipline your child. I did, however, get a picture the other day.

UGA Homecoming Game

For Georgia's homecoming game this year, we packed the car and headed to Athens. We tailgated with several friends, including Nathan's brother and family. I wish I had more pics to share from the tailgate, but we forgot our camera at home. Lauren had a blast, although I was worn out from all of her fun. She loved that the food table was right at her level, and she has not quite mastered the unspoken rule of no double dipping! :)

MiMi, MiMi, MiMi

My poor parents have made two trips to Atlanta in the past month in hopes of seeing Wyatt play in one of his soccer games. During the first game, Wyatt refused to participate. He ended up getting sick the next day so I think he was just not feeling well. Or, maybe he was just being three. Who knows!!!

While here on the first trip, my mom kept trying to get Lauren to say MiMi, but she wouldn't. She got her wish, however, on this last trip and she may be wishing that she had not been hoping for her to say her name. My mom stayed for a week to help me out and to spend time with the kiddos! Thanks mom!! During the week, we had to of heard Lauren say MiMi 1 million times. She would just say it, and when mom turned to her, she would smile or giggle or blow a kiss. I would go to bed at night hearing "MiMi, MiMi, MiMi" in my mind.

While mom was here, I picked up some cases, we played, went to the zoo, and I actually had some mommy time!! It was so nice!!! Again, THANKS mom!!! Now, if I could just get her to move back to Atlanta. :)
