Our New (borrowed) Treadmill

Thanks Nonna and Grandpa Greg for letting us borrow your treadmill. Wyatt has been working out! As Aunt Sheesha knows.....he loves to run!! Sorry the video is turned sideways. I have no idea how to rotate a video.

Fun Weekend

The Reuter Family had a fun weekend.

We started the weekend on Friday. Wyatt, Lauren and I met Nonna at the River to exercise. Wyatt got to go on a bike ride with Nonna while Lauren and I walked.
Wyatt loves to bike with his Nonna.



After biking, we met Baby Wade and Aunt Kriya for lunch. Wyatt loves his Aunt Kriya and Baby Wade!!

Then on Saturday, we had a day full of parties. First, we went to a party at the Black's house. They had a petting farm in their back yard. It was hysterical (but kind of cruel) to see a bunch of two year olds pet and hold bunnies, pigs and goats. Here are a few pics. I have some more, but I can't seem to get them to upload.

Next we came home for a quick rest before heading to another party. There were slides, swings, a huge jumpy slide and Buzz Light Year made an appearance to do magic tricks and make swords for everyone. There was "Daddy Juice" for the adults and dinner/cake/candy/ice cream and more for the kids. The Freudensteins really know how to throw a party. Unfortunately, my camera died so I didn't get very many pics. Wyatt had a blast!!



When we got home, we took the crib out of Wyatt's room. He has had a big boy bed for a week now - he calls it his Choo Choo bed. He's been doing great so we removed the crib. In a week or so we plan to move it to Lauren's room. Hopefully that goes over smoothly! :)

Today we went to church and have just relaxed at home!! While chilling at home, I've determined that some of the behaviors I blogged about previously may be accentuated due to the addition of Lauren. I walked downstairs to find this....
And in case some of you don't know, I find this to be hysterical because Wyatt was so fat at 3 months of age that I could not get the Baby Bjorn to fasten so it got no use.




In addition to requesting a ride in the Baby Bjorn, I catch him walking around with a pacifier too!! Funny that he refused one as a baby. Lauren is following in his footsteps and refuses it too!

Our weekend has come to an end. We finished it off by having dinner with our good friends Jaime and Jessica (which by the way are pregnant with their first)!!!

Help......He is definitely TWO

This is a plea to all experienced mommies.....I need some help/advice on how to handle a little boy who is now definitely TWO. He answers with the word NO before listening to my entire question. For example, yesterday I said "Wyatt do you want to do to the playground?" Before he could process the question, he said "NO." Then you saw the light bulb go off and he changed his reply, "Yes mommy, yes." When trying to dress him, he cries and says he doesn't want to wear that. All of the adorable outfits I have purchased he says are for babies. I think he may have overheard Nathan say he looks like a baby in some of the smocked outfits. Who knows. All I know is that every morning he cries as I try to dress him. He has been doing stuff he isn't suppose to do. As he does it, he looks at me with these huge eyes. He knows exactly what he is doing. Even though he knows Lauren can't catch a football, yesterday he screamed, "Lau-len Watch." Within a second, the ball was flying across the room and straight into her chest. Being the peaceful child she has been, she didn't even cry. I am not sure how to be honest. Wyatt on the other hand, cried and screamed as he was punished. I couldn't understand him but I think he was trying to blame it on the puppy.

Even though there has been a different child in my home, there is still the sweet little Wyatt. I have a question though....Will these behaviors last the entire year? I hope not!! I feel like I am constantly putting him in time out. Any advice or prayers would be appreciated. This newborn thing is a cinch. Managing a two year old....another story.

Lauren Update

Sorry I have not given many Lauren updates lately. Overall, Lauren has still been a great baby! I feel so blessed. She still sleeps alot (much more than Wyatt did at this age). When awake, she is a snuggler! She loves to snuggle and to sleep with Mommy. I try to get her to do tummy time every day, but we have a little dilemma. If she can get her arm in the right spot, she rolls right back over onto her back. She is a bit of a mover and shaker. With Wyatt I could lay him on the bed and leave the room or shower without any concerns. With Lauren, you can't do that. She starts to move her legs and if not confined by a sleep sack, she moves across the bed. It can be dangerous because she doesn't always cry when she wakes up. When we were at the beach, I put her to bed in the center of a queen bed. When I heard her crying, I went upstairs to find her almost at the edge of the bed. I guess she must have been awake for a while and moving her little legs. Thank God she started to cry. I'm not sure if she will continue to be a mover and shaker. She is slowly putting on the weight and the heavier / taller babies tend to crawl/walk a little later. Or atleast that is what Dr. Knox told us. She is smiling lots and responds with a smile when you talk in a certain tone. I'll have to say, my heart absolutely melts when she looks me in the eyes and smiles. It is so sweet. She either smiles when she hears Wyatt's voice, or she does this "get away from me" face. I think she might have an idea that he is behind the random terrible two screams, the loud "NO"s and the racing truck across the hardwoods. People often ask me if I am getting sleep. Once I put her down, she goes about 6.5 hours before I hear from her. So depending on when I go to sleep after putting her down, I do get a good stretch. After that first wake up, she tends to then go 3-4 (usually 3) hours before needing to nurse again. I know the goal for many is to get the baby to sleep through the night. For me, however, these nightly wake ups only last a short time when you think of her entire life. I actually enjoy waking up and holding her without any distractions. I love to hear her little noises and to snuggle. Call me crazy. I know sleep is nice, but I truly don't mind that time with her. In fact, I know I will be sad when it ends. I miss my night snuggles with Wyatt. Both of my babies, however, have nursed and gone right back to sleep. If I had a baby that was wide awake and needed to be walked around, I may have a different view.

Hmmm....what else can I say about my baby girl?? I'm in love!!!
