Our BIG Girl

I am so behind on posts. :( This should have been a post from Christmas Break.

Drum Roll Please.....LAUREN IS OFFICIALLY POTTY TRAINED. I attempted it at 23 months, but it was not really her potty trained. It was me being trained. She went 11 days at home with big girl panties on and no accidents. I didn't have the confidence to send her to school though because like I said, it was me being trained. I have very firm beliefs about potty training. You must have 3-4 days at home with NO plans. The first time I came across a time like that was Christmas Break. So, when we got that time, we went cold turkey (another potty training belief I have) and she did it!!!! In one weekend, she became my big girl. I know this is odd, but I was actually kind of sad. For some reason, it officially took her from my little baby to my big girl. I think it is because I know she is my last. Or, I currently think she is my last. I'll add more pics of her potty training weekend!! There are some good ones. :)

Great Quote from the Magical World of Disney

Immediately after we stood in line and met Micky Mouse for the first time, Wyatt came up to me with a smile on his face from ear to ear. He then said,

"Mommy, When you said we were going to get to meet the characters, I thought you meant we were going to meet people dressed up like the characters. I had NO IDEA I was going to meet the REAL Micky Mouse."

Priceless.

Best. Vacation. Ever.

Our family has been on a great vacation with our friends, the Hockin family. We started the week off by heading to my parents house in St. Simons. As always, we had a blast. The kids loved playing with their MiMi, Papa, cousins and uncle. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we spent our days at the beach, playground, bike riding, going for walks and just enjoying outside.

After the weekend, we packed up the car and headed to Daytona Beach. There the kids and I stayed at this great resort on the beach. They basically swam until bedtime, and then we all snuggled in bed.

The following morning, we packed up again and headed to the Orlando airport to pick up Daddy, Ms. Jessica, Mr. Jaime and Connelly. From that point on, we have gone non-stop. Our first stop......DISNEY WORLD. We spent our first day exploring the roads of Disney World. I will have to say, it was so much more fun than I remembered it being. I think it was because I was a little older so I was not as much in to Disney the last time I went. Our children, however, were VERY excited about Disney and the excitement they had made the trip worth every single penny. And, let me add, going to Disney takes lots of pennies. The smiles and squeals that came from our children's face made the trip just so much fun. Wyatt could barely contain himself. He constantly had a smile on his face. Lauren could be heard chanting "Donald Duck" or "Minnie Mouse" while clapping her hands. Connolly also had so much excitement. She seemed to love being with "WyWy" and "LoLo" and she also loved all the characters too. Minnie seemed to be her favorite. Unlike many almost two year olds, she was not afraid at all. She was always smiling and hugging any character she could get her hands on.

Today is Friday afternoon. The daddy's took the morning to play golf at Bay Hill resort. They were very excited about the opportunity. A PGA golf tournament will be here in just a few weeks so as the guys put it, the course is absolutely beautiful. Right now I am enjoying the beautiful weather, writing about our amazing trip while our kids enjoy the sun outside.

Here are pictures of our trip:

First the tram ride. Wyatt was already so excited!!

Still all smiles as he waited for the ferry....

Connelly and Lauren enjoying the views on the ferry ride....

We made it!!!! Let the Memories Begin!!!!

The girls perfected the cheer for Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck!!!

One of the highlights for the kiddos.....meeting Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

Wyatt was more excited than I thought he would be!!!

The dance party!!! As you can see, our dancer was too sleepy to dance. He was asleep within about 2 minutes after this picture was taken.

The next day we headed to Animal Kingdom.

Connelly loved Nathan, and would ask for him to carry her. Nathan loved it!!!!

As you can see, she leaned on him whenever she could get the chance. :)

First stop, A Bugs Life. We really enjoyed this 3-D animated film with tons of special effects.

One of my favorite rides, the Safari:

Lauren's favorite.....the baby elephant.

And, back to DISNEY

Ms. Jessica bought the girls a Minnie Mouse. They were THRILLED.

While we waited for the DISNEY parade to start, Daddy was able to get a huge kiss from his PRINCESS!!!

While waiting for the parade, the girls showed off their dance moves.
I just love this little boy!!! He is one special gift!!!
Daddy with his cuties!!!

One of our favorite nights at Disney......the night of the parade!!!
The next morning, we went to a charicture breakfast!! It was definitely a hit for our group!!! But, before we went, the kiddos had to curl up in bed together and watch a little Mickey Mouse. It was a little like watching the ESPN pregame show.

As you can see from the blurring of Wyatt's body, he was very excited to get an autograph from Goofy!! He was dancing all around.
At first Lauren was not interested. That is until Minnie showed up!!

One of our favorites.....Donald Duck!!!

After the breakfast, the girls took some time to show Lauren's Minnie how to walk. Tonight Lauren has been potty training her!! :)

I have more pictures and stories to share from our trip. I'll have to do it tomorrow though because I am extremely tired tonight. Today (Saturday) we went to Sea World with my dad, and I want to be sure to document some of the cute quotes of our little ones.

We love you DISNEY WORLD!!!!!
