Mommy Time

A friend of mine has a little girl about 5 months older than Wyatt and a little girl about 6 months or so older than Lauren. A few days ago we were talking about how much longer it takes to get things done when you have two. We find it quite funny because we use to think that having one slowed us down. Now, having one is nothing! With that said, we have decided to give each other time to get stuff done each week by trading the two year olds. Yesterday Wyatt went to Julie's house to play while I wrapped Christmas gifts with Lauren. When I picked Wyatt up, Ellen informed me that Wyatt had been wearing Julie's high heel shoes. I'll have to admit, it's not his first time. He loves shoes - the taller the better!! :) Today, Julie came to our house while her mommy went to run some errands with her little one - who, by the way is growing up too fast. She is already walking and talking and she is only 9 months. You will notice in one pic, that Wyatt is obsessed with shoes (even girl shoes). As soon as Julie removed her shoes to jump, Wyatt put her shoes on (pic below). Below are some pictures of the afternoon. It was fun to observe them play. They seemed to have a great time together.

Don't worry, Wyatt's love for shoes does not interfere with his testosterone. It is definitely increasing as he gets older (I say a little prayer for my sister-in-law every day - she's about to have her third little boy)!! Once he put on his shoes, he was running around making blow up noises. Julie didn't know what to think.

Christmas Program

Today was Wyatt's Christmas program at school. It was very cute! Quick, but very cute!! I thought they were pretty brave to let a bunch of young twos perform. Below is his performance. On the second video, he caught me in the audience so he smiled a little more. :)

Santa 2008

We went to visit Santa yesterday at Phipps. Attached are several pictures from our trip. You will notice that there are not any of Santa, Lauren and Wyatt. That is because Nathan and I were busy protecting Santa. Wyatt was so happy to see Santa until he was the next in line. As we got closer, his eyes got bigger and he started to say "no, no, no" in a soft voice. When it was his turn, the tears began to flow. As Nathan carried him to Santa, his legs started to kick and his grip became stronger. The photographer got a pic (I'm sure it will be funny). Next year we will be sure to plan a day when either Nonna or MiMi can attend. Last year we had my mom and Nathan's mom. This year it was just us!! That way we can get the chaos on video. :)

The slide show is an attempt of me to get another Christmas card picture. No luck. In one of the pictures you will notice Wyatt telling Nathan that he wants Geotrax for Christmas. I'm sure Nathan will pass the news along to Santa. Hopefully he will still get it!!

After injuring Santa :), we went to lunch in the food court. Our friends (The French Family) joined us for lunch. As you can see from the pics, Wyatt cooperates by smiling when he is posing with a girl he thinks is cute! He loves little, adorable Margaret.

She is 3 months

I can't believe it, but my little baby is already 3 months old. She smiles all the time (although I can't seem to catch it on camera because the light from the camera distracts her), holds her head pretty good and coos like crazy. All you have to do is lock eyes with her and she will start chatting away. I have it on the video attached. It doesn't fully depict her talking, but it is a simple example. I'm also including a few pics of her from this past week! With Wyatt, I was not too sad when he left different developmental stages because I knew (or hoped) that I would have another baby. Now that Nathan and I are discussing the possibility of only having two children, I find myself being sad as she grows older. I wish I could just freeze both of them!! They are growing up too fast. She is still the wonderful little baby I have blogged about in the past. She hardly ever cries, naps easily, and seems to be a very content, happy baby. My only complaint....she won't take a bottle anymore. She is so good, we took her along to Wyatt's very first movie. I would never have attempted that with Wyatt. She just sat quietly or slept- never started to cry once. As Dr. Knox said.....we have a Praise the Lord Baby!!!

Thanksgiving, Christmas Tree and More

I have had a few crazy weeks, and have not found time to blog. I started a blog entry after our trip to Greenville to spend an early Thanksgiving weekend with Nathan's family at his cousins house. I, however, came down with Mastitis (for the second time this month) and never finished it. I was running a 103 fever for two days, and I could hardly move out of bed. After the antibiotics kicked in, I felt better and am back to my normal self.

Ashley and Ben hosted a early Thanksgiving dinner, and we all had a great time. The food was really good and the company was even better. Nathan's sister, Kriya, is a great photographer and loves to take pictures. With that said, I tend to get slack on taking pictures and I always order hers from Kodak. Wyatt had a blast with his cousins. I have nicknamed Wyatt and Cae (his cousin a year older) - capital T for trouble. I'm afraid when they get older, they may get into trouble. Below are some pics of them in their fort under Ashley's dining room table. They were told to stay out of the candy jar. I caught Wyatt under the table munching on the candy. I guess he thought it was okay to eat it as long as it was Cae who got into the candy jar and brought it to him. They were just too cute so I couldn't get too mad. Notice the candy in Cae's mouth as he smiles.




The following weekend, my brother and his children came for a visit. Wyatt loved having his cousins around. He thought he was such a big boy!! It brings so much joy to my heart to see my neices and nephews. They are all just so cute, loving and wonderful children. They show so much love towards Wyatt and Lauren. We are truly blessed.


A week later we celebrated Thanksgiving at my house. We had over 20 people attend. Everyone seemed to have a good time. I know that Wyatt had a blast having his cousins and a few new friends over. Below are just a few pics of the day. Check out the blog Wades World to see more!!

The next day two of my brothers came over with their families. I was so busy heating things up, I didn't get any pictures to share. :(

The Friday after Thanksgiving, we put up our Christmas tree!! Due to my allergies, we elected to put up a fake tree this year. :( I love a real tree, but I am not sure if it is worth the symptoms I get when we have one. The tree is still beautiful. As you can see, Wyatt was a big help putting up the tree. He LOVES to help his Daddy on any kind of project that includes tools. He's a great help too!!





I took the following pictures in attempt to come up with a Christmas card. No luck with any of these. I plan to attempt again if I can. I'm not sure Wyatt will let me. He cooperated at first, but then got very bored. Note to self: Never attempt pictures on my own without another adult when taking shots of a two year old and a baby that can't sit up. I'm not sure how many times she did a face plow. I lost count. :( I posted several pictures. I find them to be quite comical. Maybe because I was almost in tears when taking them.

So, this is what we have been up to the last few weeks!! We are all so excited about Christmas this year. Wyatt already found where Santa hides the Christmas stash. We've been trying some reverse Psychology on him, and I think we have almost convinced him that he imagined it all! :) Nathan and I can't wait for Christmas morning when Wyatt comes downstairs to see all of his Christmas morning treats! He is at such a cute age now and he gets so excited about everything!!

Off to change the sheets on all of my beds. My cousin and her friend are coming for the weekend! We have tons of girlie things planned. I'm really looking forward to it!
