Halloween 2010

Halloween lasted for days, and days this year!! Instead of Halloween Day, it was more like Halloween Week!!

It started with a neighborhood party on a Tuesday afternoon. Our neighborhood has TONS of kids, and my friend Mattie was brave enough to invite everyone over. She had over 100 people (adults and kids) to respond that they were coming!! It was a madhouse!! Wyatt and Lauren had a blast.

This is a pic of the group outside. Little kids filled the basement, upstairs and front yard too!!
Our princess preferred to have her food on the floor away from the action.

It was rough being a princess, and Lauren stripped down without any warning!!

On Wednesday, Wyatt's class took a field trip to a local pumpkin patch.

They had to make decisions on what was the best pumpkin, and they had to pay for their own pumpkin.

On Thursday, Lauren had her school party with all of her friends.

On Friday, we went straight to Jenna's house for her birthday party once Lauren woke up from her nap!!! It was a costume celebration. I did a terrible job of taking pictures, so I just have a few. Below is a picture of Wyatt and his best friend Ryan.

We stayed as long as we could before having to leave to go to the Chattahoochee Nature Trails with Nathan's family. Every year the Chattahoochee Nature Center in East Cobb puts on a hike through the trails where the children can be educated about animals while also being spooked!! Unfortunately my camera died, so I had to steal this pic of the kiddos from Aunt Kriya. Lauren was not as crazy about the animals this year. Lately she has been a little afraid of things dressed up. Let's hope she is over that by our Disney trip in February!!

On Sunday, our afternoon/evening was filled with trick-or-treating!! Families in our neighborhood gathered at our park for a pot luck dinner. The kids played on the playground while the parents socialized. After finishing dinner and few drinks, we took off. Hundreds of kids were there. Everyone was so excited.

Wyatt was digging the spider woman!!

Our group first headed to the Haunted Garage. The daddies deemed it too scary for the little ones, and we just did a walk-by. Wyatt made it to the door but came out screaming when he saw a little rocker moving by itself. Thank goodness he didn't notice the doll sitting inside of it!!

After the Haunted Garage, off went everyone down Redding to collect their goodies. It was our first year to stay in the neighborhood, and it was great!! If we do decide to ever move, I sure hope we can find a neighborhood like Ashford Park!!

The end.
