How would I describe Lauren? Lauren is an adorable little girl, who is sweet and girlie while also a pistol. She can definitely hold her weight with Wyatt and it is often Wyatt who comes running to us in tears after one of their scuffles. She climbs like you would not believe and keeps me on my toes at all times. I have found her on top of our kitchen table, on our bed running around like a mad woman and in my brother's bathroom sink. She pushed something (by herself) to the sink and used that to crawl on. She is VERY independent which can be frustrating at times. My mom laughs though when I get frustrated because she says I was the same way. On some mornings she wants to dress herself. Of course she picks the days we are in a hurry. The problem is that at 14 months, you can not physically dress yourself. She tries and tries and gets mad if I try to intervene. She likes to sit at a table like Wyatt to eat her breakfast. She has all kinds of words and appears to understand just about everything. She can follow some multi-step commands and has actually put a few words together (i.e. get out, get down). She can open all of the doors in our house. Even the ones that lead outside. Did I mention she keeps me on my toes?? She has mastered the art of kissing, and loves on Nathan, Wyatt and I every day. She makes me want to have a third!!!! :) I love her so much, and am enjoying every minute with her - even the independent moments where I want to pull my hair out!!! I'll have to admit though....I am a little nervous about the two's, if she is like this now. It is going to be interesting!!!
Thank you Lauren for being so wonderful!!!!! You are the best daughter anyone could ever ask for!!
Here are a few pics from the last two months:
