Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah

Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah,
Hey, Hey, Hey,
Goodbye

So, as Wyatt's mommy, I have been procrastinating when it came to potty training. Don't ask my why. Before he was two years old, I would let him run around naked in our house. Surprisingly, he rarely had accidents when naked. I felt like he would be easy to train, but I dreaded the adventures outside of the home. I dreaded being in a store and him having to go and me having a newborn in my arms and trying to finagle (is that how you spell it?) a two year old, a newborn and a public toilet. Ughh. With that said, I kept finding reasons to wait. My excuses ranged from just having Lauren to Christmas being busy, to both kids being sick, to the school being counterproductive (they want pullups on if not fully trained), to long cars rides, to what??? I had no more excuses.

We came to SSI a few days ago, and it was time to move on to the big boy pants. To my surprise, it has been pretty easy. We are on day number 3 and we have only had two accidents and that was on the first day!!! He even told me 3 times while in the pool yesterday that he needed to go.

I'm so proud of my potty trained little boy!! I'll have to confess though. I do miss the ease of diapers. I'm still adjusting to having to pull over at a moments notice to find a place to go. I still can't stand the trips to public restrooms and plan to drive around with a portable potty in my car.

I'm thankful it's been so easy though. In a way, I feel bad I waited so long!! Although, I can't help to think that maybe the naked days at home paid off - even if it was done for almost a year!!
