She is still such a happy baby and a great sleeper. We rarely hear her cry, although some whimpers are becoming more frequent. The whimpers come with the bumps and bruises she gets when she tries to do things she can't quite do yet.
She has stood on her own a few times, has taken a few steps while holding on to something, loves the pool, the beach, and watching her brother. Her vocabulary is expanding - she said MaMa on May 19th (my birthday)! :) That was a fun birthday present. She wasn't calling me by my name, but she did look me in the eyes and say it. She alternates between MaMaMa, to DaDaDaDa, to BaBaBaBa. You get the picture. She is practicing those consonants and vowels. It's lots of fun because she looks like she thinks she is carrying on a conversation.
She still waves bye bye when she feels like it and giggles lots!! She gets Mommy-itis on occasion, which I have to admit I love! :) My family swears she said "rough" after our dog barked, but I missed that one. She does sound like she is attempting the word dog. When Macy comes into the room, she sounds like she is saying "Da."

We had a fun night celebrating her 9 month birthday! We went to the park by the pier tonight after dinner with her cousins from Athens.
