Lauren's Baby Dedication

We had a Dedication for Lauren this past month. It was a very nice ceremony for us. We had our family and closests friends there. My brother, who is a pastor, did the ceremony; and Aunt Kriya sang for us. Nathan's mom and step-father worked very hard on making it look beautiful and despite the threatening rain....it was perfect!! Here are some pics of Baby Lauren's day:







Nathan's family has a baptism gown that has been used by several family members for years and years. If I can remember correctly, his great grandmother made the lace on the slip. We were not sure if the gown would fit Lauren so my mom found a beautiful dress for her. As suspected, the gown was tight on her chubby arms, but she was able to wear the beautiful slip underneath her dress. It was very special to me that Lauren was able to participate in the family tradition. If we have a third, I will have to plan the baptism a little earlier so they can wear the gown too!!
