Lauren is 7 months

I can't believe it, but Lauren is 7 months old today!! My baby girl is still a bundle of joy! She scared me briefly a few days ago because she pushed up on all fours. It has been a little different for me with the second baby. I remember with Wyatt being so excited when it looked like he may be close to crawling/walking. With Lauren, not as much because I know what it means.....more work for mommy!! I'm not sure I am ready to add referee (from Wyatt's toys) to my list of job titles. I think that chef, house cleaner, butt cleaner, bath giver, counselor, chauffeur, wife, mother, daughter, teacher and more is enough!! When she pushed up on all fours, I actually said a little prayer for more time!! "Oh, please no" immediately went through my head.

Seven month update?? At seven months, Lauren is still a great sleeper and hardly ever cries. When she is napping, you have to periodically check on her because she doesn't cry when she wakes up. She just turns on her mobile and lays in bed and talks to herself. Lauren has really surprised me. Unlike her brother, she loves veggies and doesn't seem to care for the fruits. The faces she makes with the fruit resembles the face I got from Wyatt with the veggies. Lauren has sucked on her fists, fingers and arm since she was a born. Unfortunately, now she has resorted to just sucking her thumb. I tried to discourage it, but there was no stopping it. I've been told by some moms that their babies did it for the first year or so and then stopped on their own. I have, however, also been told about babies who did it and never stopped and they are now in school. Hopefully Lauren will take the path of the first set of babies. If not, I may be begging for advice when I can't get her to stop! I guess there is no reason to worry now. !?!?!

Lauren is sitting up like a champ and loves to stand while holding on to things. She moves from location to location by rolling or doing the inch worm. She pulls up on things, but often her weight takes over and she topples back. She laughs often and is in love with her brother. Just the sight of him makes her smile, giggle and jerk in excitement. As I have mentioned several times, she hardly ever cries. When she does cry though, it's trouble. I can visibly see Nathan's heart melt and I am slowly watching her wrap her daddy around her little finger. Since she doesn't cry much, you do want to do whatever she wants as soon as possible to stop her tears. When you wave, she sometimes will move her arm up and down appearing to try to mimic. She definitely mimics noises - mainly screams and she is now a kisser. She started kissing about a month ago. When you ask for a kiss, she plants an open mouth kiss right on top of your lips. Wyatt loves that trick!

Well, this is what Lauren has been up to the past two months. I forgot to do updates last month. Nathan, Wyatt and I have just been sitting back and enjoying the ride!! Here are some pics of our baby Lauren:
