Rest All Done

So, my children have this secret language and they really have a good thing going. Together, they have decided to not nap at the same time. Lauren finishes her second nap for the day when it's time for Wyatt to go down for his. Right when he wakes up, she goes down for her third and final nap before bedtime. They have decided...no mommy time. On a positive note, it allows me some alone time with each child.

Lately, Wyatt has decided that he has gotten really smart and he does not need a nap at all. He does this between once a week and once every two weeks. I've informed him that he does not have to sleep, but that he has to stay in his room and rest. Needless to say that after 10 minutes, he is not too thrilled with this idea and he begins to scream among other things. Then he gets silent, although I know he is not asleep. Today after a little over an hour of rest time, this is what I found.

First words out of his mouth..."Rest all done, Mommy." This was repeated a few times and then followed by, "I need my diaper change." Like I didn't know, I was honestly afraid I was going to find poo all over the walls from the smell when I walked in. Oh, the joys!! :)
